Our background
Mount Kenya University Regulated Non-WDT-Sacco was initially registered as T.I.T Sacco Society Ltd before rebranding on 24th November, 2017. It was spearheaded by nine staff of the then Thika Institute of Technology Welfare who came together and contributed ksh.7,800/- in cash.
This encouraged other staff members who during a welfare meeting in February,2005 decided that ,the Thika Institute of Technology Accounts Department should commence a check off deductions for the welfare.
After being in operation for one year they were driven by the wish to provide savings and credit facilities to it members and on 29th December 2005 T.I.T Sacco Society Ltd was registered under the Ministry of Co-operative Development and Marketing. The Sacco is Licensed and Regulated by SASRA.
